P&G Explores IPO

It’s been reported that Procter & Gamble is exploring an initial public offering of some of its beauty brands. The details haven’t been finalized.

P&G’s beauty brands include Covergirl, SKII, Wella Herbal Essences.

The company’s shares jumped 1.9 percent to $83.37 as of 12:22 p.m. in New York, giving it a market value of about $225 billion. Before Monday, the stock had tumbled about 10 percent this year, Bloomberg reports.
